Owner operator along with designer of Modern Deck Railings. 10 years + in business Clint wanted to make a product locally to provide jobs and make a superior product on the market. His prices are competitive with the big box stores' cable railings.

Our competitors' aluminum exterior posts will bow under the tension of the cables and will look bad. To prevent this unwanted bowing we use thick walled stainless steel tubing to make our posts. We also provide all the screws needed.

Because of the ease of installation and maintenance. Any homeowner can install. Because the fittings are so minimal they are pleasing to the eye. We also provide the tools needed to install them.

How to cut the top rail.

We provide a powder coated aluminum handrail. This way it can be cut with a miter saw using a standard wood blade. Because it is aluminum it will cut through it like a pop can. A step by step video is provided on the installation page of our website.

The service I received from Clint in helping me design the railings for my deck and stairways was beyond what I could have expected. His service, kindness and personal attention made all of the other options simply not viable. His system for railings is ingenious, effective and beautiful. My wife and I are in the process of building our contemporary dream home. The project at times has been stressful and a little overwhelming, but I can say that one of the few areas that went as planned and on budget was our custom fencing, gate, and interior cable rails. Mailahn Innovation was beyond professional and friendly... the entire process was enjoyable and I highly recommend them. I found this business on Etsy. I started conversation well before I needed my railings but Clint helped us so much. I sent photos and layout for him to tailor a design plan/estimate in the meantime. Clint was very helpful in the whole process, I only wish I had found him sooner to help design our deck railings at an affordable price. The kit was super easy for my builder and the pricing compared to the big names you think of, was exceptional. The quality is top notch.

Mailahn / Clint was fantastic in all areas of our building creation. The railing system is solid and sturdy for use in our indoor event venue space, while also having a pretty and classy look that compliments our space perfectly. The videos are very helpful and the installation was actually simple which made this project almost as fun as our new space they helped us create! We purchased and installed Mailahn Innovation (MI) stainless steel cable railing on a new floating staircase in our newly-remodeled lakehouse. In addition to the quality of materials and great price, I've been most impressed that Clint (Mailahn) takes a personal interest in customer satisfaction. Having never installed cable railing previously, I had many questions. Even though I didn't expect a quick response, nearly every time he either called or texted me back immediately. And I've never had to wait more than a few hours to hear back from him. In addition, the quality of materials that MI uses is exceptional. The posts are heavy-gauge and the SS cables are custom cut to order, 12" long so that you have more than enough to work with and very little waist. We would definitely work with Clint and MI again!

There are a great deal of cable rail companies out there but I don't believe you will find any better quality or customer support as the ones with Mailahn Innovation. I submitted a very primitive drawing of my design and received a quote back in one day. I called and spoke directly to Clint and he answered all of my questions. I placed the order for my hardware and I received it very well packaged in 2 days. Every part was complete with an extra cable, some extra screws and the installation tools needed. The welds on the posts are exceptionally clean. Clint also labeled each item to clarify any confusion. I decided to use a wooden hand rail on top and Clint even sent a couple of links as to where I could purchase it. I lined up a contractor and had him review the installation video Clint provided.To summarize I am incredibly happy with the quality of the parts, the excellent support, and the end result. You could not ask for anything better with any company and is rare in this day and age.I have attached a few photos of my new rail. It looks fantastic!!
